“Wut R U Playn?” (WRUP) originally began as a segment in the Super Smash Bros. Brawl-based podcast “Show Me Your News!” (SMYN). When that podcast made the transition to video gaming show post-Brawl, the segment seemed perfect, to recap what the hosts had been experiencing in the world of video games. In June 2012, with the announcement of the SMYN Network, WRUP became its own podcast, as a more tangential sister-show to SMYN. It continues today as part of the SMYN Network, without forgetting its original roots.

WRUP serves as a time capsule for the hosts, the guests, and gamers everywhere. Youko, TheBuzzSaw, Super, and TonyTH not only discuss their latest video gaming experiences, but also make recommendations to listeners, whether those titles are new and old. In addition, some fan-favorite segments from SMYN make their return in WRUP. The show’s current format is listed below.
